Terms and conditions of use

1. Defects in delivered item to be ironed

AJ Home Clean shall not be held responsible for damage caused by the quality of the article to be ironed if the damage was not detected during a professional inspection (e.g. damage as a result of loose fabric or seams or as a result of colours or printed patterns not being fast or as a result of shrinkage caused by previous non-professional cleaning or as a result of hidden foreign bodies and other hidden defects). This shall also apply to articles that are unsuitable or only partially suitable for ironing if these are not clearly labelled or AJ Home Clean staff are unable to detect this in the course of their professional inspection.

2. Returning the item

All items shall be collected no later than one month following the agreed collection date. Otherwise delivery will be as pre-arranged.

3. Defects in ironed items

In the event of defects being found in collected items, customers must demonstrate that such defects were caused by the company. The company shall be notified of any obvious defects within two weeks of collection or delivery.

4. Limited liability

AJ Home Clean shall be liable to the full and unlimited amount for the loss of items at the replacement cost. For damage caused during cleaning, the cleaner shall be liable only when gross negligence can be proven and then to the full and unlimited cost of replacement. Liability shall otherwise be limited to the price of cleaning.

5. Pet Services

The owner is responsible and will ensure that their dog is up-to-date with their vaccinations, flea, tick and de-wormer treatments.

Owner accepts full liability for any loss or damage caused by their dog whilst being walked. AJ Home Clean will not be held accountable for vet fees or third party claims whilst your dog is in our care.

Owner is to make full disclosure of any quality or characteristic problems which might make your dog not suitable for walking; including behavioural or health problems, antisocial behaviour; including aggression, incontinence or lack of house training and excessive loud barking or whining. Failure on the part of the owner to disclose any matter which might render owner's dog unsuitable for walking will be deemed a material omission amounting to a fundamental breach of our agreement.

We make every effort to contact the owner in the event of an emergency. We recommend owner's provide us with a contact number of a trusted third party should we be unable to make contact. However, we reserve the right to make decisions regarding your dogs health providing it is at all times acting in the best interests of the dog and on the advice of a veterinary surgeon. Owner is responsible for any veterinary fees incurred by AJ Home Clean.

Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1988 amended 1998 & 2002, we would like to remind customers that payments are due at the end of each working week, or on the final working day of that week. We as a company reserve the right to impose a £2.50 initial late payment fee if a payment is more than 3 days overdue, then £0.50 charged on a daily basis from the fourth day until the payment is received in full.

6. Booking

Walking - Clients must ensure that their requirements for the following week are           e-mailed or text to us no later than Sunday evenings.

House sitting - A minimum of 2 days notice is required for any house sitting bookings plus a £10 deposit.

7. Cancellation

Walking - You may cancel your booked slot and provided you give a minimum of 24 hours notice, you will not be charged. However, if cancellation is made within 24 hours of the walk commencing, the full rate will be charged.

House sitting - We require a minimum of 2 days notice to cancel. Failure to do so will result in 25% of the fee payable and your deposit is non refundable.

8. Flexibility is required

We are fully insured to walk up to 4 dogs at a time. Whilst every effort is made to have walks one-on-one, some of the time you dog will be walked with other friendly dogs.

Your booked time is estimated only and whilst we make every effort to arrive at the time given, depending on road conditions and unforeseen circumstances, please allow approximately 30 minutes after your booked time slot for AJ Home Clean to attend. In adverse weather conditions please understand that we are still open and may be slightly delayed. If however, we are more than 2 hours overdue then AJ Home Clean will refund 50% of the walk. Please note that time starts from when AJ Home Clean arrives at your property. Clients may also make further requests to AJ Home Clean which will take extra time out of your booked walk or be charged on top of if extra time is added. All walks are 30 or 60 minutes only unless otherwise agreed upon.
